Student Support Appeal

Student Support Appeal

In June 2020, the first Student Support Appeal was launched by TU Dublin President, Professor David FitzPatrick. With a goal to raise €25,000 to establish a fund for TU Dublin students in need, staff across campuses, along with our network of alumni and friends came together and an amazing €30,425.00 was raised.

The TU Dublin community has risen to the unprecedented challenges presented by supporting our students, particularly those who are most vulnerable, in many generous ways. Each year, we assist many students who might otherwise not manage to complete their studies. In the years ahead, due to the impact of Covid-19, we anticipate that need will be greater than ever, with increased demand for services including mental health support, help with technology, and emergency financial support.

The purpose of the annual Student Support Appeal is to create a fund to offer financial support to programmes and initiatives across the University through Student Support Grants. Funded projects serve to combat financial, educational, social and/or emotional challenges faced by our students.
