The Gender-Sensitive University - A Contradiction in Terms? will be published by Routledge in Summer 2020. Edited by Professor Eileen Drew (Trinity College Dublin) and Professor Siobhan Canavan (Edinburgh University), the book examines all aspects of academic life from a gender point of view.

The contributors draw on their experiences of implementing gender equality plans through the EU-funded SAGE project (Systemic Action for Gender Equality, Grant agreement No 710534). Other authors write on issues they presented at the 10th European Conference on Gender Equality in Higher Education (Dublin 2018). Another group of authors reflect on their experiences of enhancing gender equality through specific initiatives. The collection is an invaluable contribution to understanding gender bias in academia. It also offers imaginative solutions to the shared challenges in delivering a sustainable gender equality agenda in higher education.

Further publication information will be posted on this site as it becomes available.
