Senior Academic Leadership Initiative

As President of Ireland’s first technological university, I am delighted to announce that we are seeking applications for two very exciting Professorships in TU Dublin.

These posts have been made possible by the national Senior Academic Leadership Initiative (SALI), the purpose of which is to help achieve greater gender equality in Irish higher education.  Under its auspices, TU Dublin was awarded funding for two highly significant Professorships in areas of particular depth and expertise within our university.  The Professor of Inclusive Computer Science Education will address gender diversity in the field of computer science education and industry, while our Professor of Public trust in the Media, Arts and Technology will have a remit to foster public understanding and critical engagement with the societal impact of technology.  Both will be role models for academic leadership, sectoral and civic engagement and will establish TU Dublin as a national and European leader in these fields.

TU Dublin is an inspiring university where the arts, sciences, business, engineering and technology converge.  Our students learn in a practice-based environment while our research aims to benefit communities, society and the economy.  Our ambition is to create a better world together and these roles will have a significant part to play.  Details of each of the roles and how to apply are available at the links below.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, outward-looking and innovative young university and I welcome your interest in TU Dublin.
