CreateLab

CreateLab is an initiative of TU Dublin Hothouse in partnership with the TU Dublin School of Creative Arts, Grangegorman and the School of Mechanical and Design Engineering in Bolton Street, supporting the industry through design in the development of new products and creation of Intellectual Property. CreateLab has extensive Product Design and Development expertise in the areas of Design Research, Ideation, Concept Development, User-Centred Design, Product Development, Design Engineering, Prototyping, 3D Printing, CAD, Design for Manufacture etc. Through CreateLab, clients can also access excellent prototyping and workshop facilities.

 

Water Stations Ireland

Water Stations Ireland smart water stations use cutting edge technologies to help communities reduce their reliance on single-use plastic. They also offer hands-free options to mitigate the spread of Covid-19. The Water Stations empower everyone, everywhere, to choose an alternative way of accessing free clean water, without a single-use, disposable plastic bottle and the emissions released by creating it from fossil fuels. Water Stations Ireland are empowering society to break from the overproduction of plastic waste and its effect on wellbeing and that of the environment.

TU Dublin Open Labs

Open Labs is a pioneering Research and Development outreach initiative from TU Dublin Hothouse and has supported over 150 start-ups and SMEs to develop new products and services since it was established in 2018. During that time, it has generated over €1.5m in research income and has provided industry sectors that are critical to the Irish economy with access to over 600 researchers and to high-tech facilities to support early-stage research and innovation.

TU Dublin Hothouse is the award-winning Knowledge Transfer and Incubation Centre located on TU Dublin Grangegorman Campus.
