Research

Lecturers in Language Studies are committed classroom practitioners and active researchers in a diverse range of specialisms. These fall broadly within the areas of Language Acquisition and Pedagogy, Curriculum Development, Linguistics, Translation, Literary Studies, Film Studies, and English for Academic Purposes.

Our lecturers are widely published in scholarly books and journals. They organise national and international conferences and symposiums and regularly present papers that lead to conference proceedings.  They also hold leadership roles in international organisations and societies dedicated to increased understanding of cultural and linguistic identity in wider society.  Details can be found on individual staff profiles.

As language specialists, we are especially adept at translating our passion for research into engaging classroom experiences for our students.
