STLR is an exciting new learning initiative which allows students to gain formal recognition for learning experiences gained inside and outside the classroom.

The judges commented that STLR is “innovative and provides a much needed framework” for students’ development.

Established at TU Dublin Blanchardstown in 2018, STLR delivers an authenticated record of the attainment of ‘transferable skills’ much sought after by employers and Transformative learning opportunities to provide a pathway for students to develop these skills. STLR allows for the capturing of extra-curricular learning.

The STLR programme aims to enhance the employability of students and offers a unique opportunity for students to promote themselves, develop their communication skills and improve their self confidence.

The STLR team looks forward to expanding this initiative further in the months ahead.
