Consent is for everyone - consent is for everything

Consent is for everything. From kissing, sexting, to foreplay or “all the way” (and everything in between)...

The Active* Consent programme, led by an interdisciplinary team at the University of Galway, has launched a campaign to raise young people's awareness of consent and what it is (and what it isn't) through a new website, consenthub.ie launched in partnership with the Government of Ireland earlier this year.

Targeting young people aged 17-25, this social media campaign consists of a series of videos that convey real-life scenarios in which they will encounter the need for active consent communication. The scenarios, which take place at a student house party, include a couple leaving the party to hook up in a bedroom, and one party-goer showing nudes they received on a dating app to someone else.
