TU Dublin is the only Irish university ranked in the top international Universities for Professional Sales Education by the Sales Education Foundation's annual survey.
The Sales Education Foundation (SEF) is a non-profit organisation that has worked to elevate the sales profession by raising awareness of the best academic programmes for the sector across the globe. SEF's “Top Universities” listing helps raise public awareness about the benefits of sales careers and provides data on sales programs worldwide.
Commenting on the University's continued success in the rankings, Dr Anthony P. Buckley, Assistant Head, School of Marketing at TU Dublin, said, "This ranking proves once again that TU Dublin is the premier University in Ireland for sales education, due to the emphasis that we place on helping to 'professionalise the Sales profession' making it an attractive career path for graduates of the College of Business. TU Dublin is also the only University in Ireland with PhD qualified lecturers in this domain in Dr Lesley Murphy and Dr Kieran Sheahan."
In addition to its sales modules at undergraduate level, the College of Business based in Aungier Street delivers an International Selling Programme for Enterprise Ireland and an MSc in Sales Management. In partnership with Skillnets, the College runs executive education programmes in Inside (Digital) sales; the first University accredited programmes in Ireland. The college also offers a Sales module on its MBA programme and a range of other MSc programme, and there are several accredited sales programmes running with multinational companies in the technology sector.
The College of Business has many collaborative partnerships with representative organisations hosting the Ireland Chapter of the American Association of Inside Sales Professionals, with TU Dublin represented on the board by Mr John Jameson and Dr Anthony Buckley. Dr Buckley also hosts - and is treasurer/secretary - of the pan-European Association for Key Account Management.
