Dublin City Centre

Dublin City centre

As a partner of the Smarter Travel Campus Programme, TU Dublin encourages students and staff to use public transport, to walk or cycle and bike parks are available in all locations.  Being right in the city centre, all our locations are extremely well served by bus networks and by both Luas Red and Green Lines.

Travelling by Bike around the city

TU Dublin is committed to sustainable travel. Refer to the Journey Planner website for all cycling routes within Dublin city to help you reach your destination.

From Heuston train station to All City Campuses

If you are arriving from cities in the south and west like Cork, Galway, Limerick and Waterford, your train will arrive in Heuston Station. Upon arrival you should exit the station and board either the Red Luas towards The Point or bus number 145 towards Kilmacanogue.

You should take the Luas to either the Jervis or Abbey Street stops - both are within minutes walk of the main TU Dublin - City Campuses.

You should exit the bus on Dame Street outside the Central Bank if you are going to the northside campuses (Bolton St, Mountjoy Square and Cathal Brugha) or for southside campuses (Aungier St and Kevin St) you should exit bus on St. Stephens Green East.
