Make The Most Of Your TU Dublin Open Day

5 Nov, 2019

Our open days are an excellent opportunity to learn all about our courses, to meet with our students and staff and to see our state-of-the-art campuses in Blanchardstown, Dublin City Centre and Tallaght.

When you arrive, the hustle and bustle of a busy campus can be a lot to take in, so here are our top tips to help you get the most out of your Open Day visit.

Do your homework beforehand

TU Dublin is one of the largest Universities in Ireland, and we deliver over 190 undergraduate programmes, so it is a good idea to research our courses before you arrive. You will find lots of information about our undergraduate courses in the study section on our website, including the minimum requirements, a description of each course, the modules you might study, and the location. And, if you have any more questions, staff contact details.

Plan your visit

With dozens of stands and a range of talks to get to, it's a good idea to have an agenda in mind for your trip to TU Dublin. Consider what you'd like to find out more about, which subjects you'd like to hear more about and prepare some questions. Keep an eye out on our Open Days webpage for more information.

Talk to our students and staff

Don’t just take leaflets and walk away! If you’re interested in a course, take your time and ask all the questions you want – our staff and students will be delighted to help and it's your chance to get some insight from those with first-hand experience of our programmes.

Are you looking for accommodation?

As a student in Dublin, finding affordable accommodation might be a consideration when choosing where to study. TU Dublin is mindful of the financial pressures on students, and we work hard to ensure that there is a range of housing options available to them. We recommend that first-year students consider staying with a host family, not only is this one of the most economical accommodation choices, it also offers the most flexibility. Bills are included in the cost, and many hosts also provide optional extras such as a light breakfast and evening meal. In addition, students can opt for a five-day rental agreement if they plan to return home for the weekend. Visit TU Dublin StudentPad for more information.
