TU Dublin Virtual Careers Fair Cctober 2021

Attending a fair is your chance to:

  • Make connections with leading graduate employers via the inbuilt text chat function, one-one calls, or by visiting breakout rooms.
  • Attend career talks and learn what employers are looking for, how to perfect your CV, and how to do a great interview.
  • Get up-to-speed on what is happening now in the employment market.
Explore a variety of organisations to help you decide your next career move.
  • Business, IT, Law & Languages - online on 4th October, 11am - 3pm
  • Engineering & Construction – online on 20th October, 11am - 3pm
  • Engineering & Science – online on 21st October, 11am - 3pm

Register in advance to check out the employers attending (new employers joining every day!).

Register now at tudublin.onlinecareerevents.com/events and build your profile so you can get the most from the fair.

To access the platform, log in using Chrome or Firefox browsers. Other browsers are not supported.

You must sign up with your TU Dublin email address as other email addresses will not be accepted.

After registering, you will get a confirmation email and calendar reminder.

Approximately two weeks before the virtual career fair, the company stalls will be live, and you will be able to check out the employer profiles.

You can explore the stalls, prepare for specific job listings, save Live Presentations in your Daily Planner, and even schedule video conversations.

You can book video conversations in advance and on the day, if you are feeling camera-shy, you can contact any attending company through the built-in chat function. On the day of the fair, you will also be matched with relevant employers based on the info on your profile.

Stay organised with your Day Planner - it will keep track of Live Presentations and video chats in your schedule.

To get the most from the fair it can be helpful to do a little bit of advance prep such as:

  • Do a little research on the companies you are interested in, in advance by checking out their profiles and their websites. Remember to check out companies attending that are new to you as they may just have your ideal job on offer! Also remember that companies attending are planning their recruitment many months ahead, so they understand that you may have yet to complete your studies!
  • Think about any questions you might like to ask employers to help you learn more about the organisation.
  • Prepare to make a good first impression by planning a brief introduction; be ready to tell the employer what you are studying, what are your key interests and skills and what kind of role are interested in. Whilst attending a fair is not a job interview, it is always nice to make a good first impression!
  • Attend one of the fair prep workshops offered by the Career Development Centre in September.
  • Check out the TU Dublin Career Development Centre - CV preparation resources.
  • Check out some of the short Virtual Fairs prep videos.
  • To access the platform, log in using Chrome or Firefox browsers. Other browsers are not supported.

See You There!

Don't miss out on this once in a year's chance to learn more about the opportunities out there for you!
