The Student Assistance Fund (SAF) provides financial support to students who are experiencing short or long-term financial difficulties while attending higher education. The SAF is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Social Fund as part of the ESF Programme for Employability, Inclusion and Learning 2014-2020.

The fund is open to full-time and part-time students aimed at tackling educational disadvantage by providing financial support to those who may require additional financial support to enable them to fully benefit from their higher education. Students will be required to produce financial information to support their application for assistance.

Please Note: The Student Assistance fund cannot be used for University fees purposes.

As there are limited funds available, TU Dublin - Tallaght Campus will target the available resources at those students most in need.

The Student Assistance Fund will close for semester one on December 2nd and reopen on the 23rd January 2023.

*Students experiencing financial difficulty after this date should email saf.tallaght@TUDublin.ie or call to the Access Office.
