sun shining over a field

St. Laurence's is a centre for prayer, worship, community building, culture and spiritual development. It has space for quiet, reflection, prayer, meditation, for students and staff. With a capacity for 140 people, St Laurence’s is a very versatile venue for talks, launches, workshops, musical events and conferences.

The Pastoral Care and Chaplaincy team are working to build community within the Campus, and develop a relevant pastoral care approach to meet the needs of the students and staff attending TU Dublin - Grangegorman Campus. As the student population increases, and especially when students are living on campus, our focus will be to manage this beautiful space so that it can be used effectively as a vibrant hub for community building, inter-religious dialogue, cultural activities, and spiritual enrichment.  The space continues to be used as a Church and the Pastoral Care and Chaplaincy Service host activities including Weekly Mass, held every Thursday at lunchtime (1:05pm), and Mindfulness every Wednesday at lunchtime (1:05pm).  Mindfulness is run in partnership with The Sanctuary.

Around this building there will emerge a focus for meeting; a space where people of different faiths can meet; a space where believers and non-believers can meet in a constructive way open to being building blocks of a common search for what is good and noble, of a respectful working and thinking together and of together serving.  - Archbishop Diarmuid Martin, 4th November 2014
