This is a micro-credential for L&D professionals moving from training provision to university-accredited learning, who wish to partner with higher education institutions to deliver learning solutions.
You’ll learn to:
- Design programmes that meet both industry needs and academic standards.
- Gain practical insights into how universities operate & be able to navigate university partnerships with confidence.
- Design, deliver, and align learning experiences that meet both industry needs and academic expectations.
An Honours degree or equivalent qualification (NFQ Level 8); or be able to provide evidence of commensurate industry experience to cope with the course learning objectives
Computer to support web-based learning, video-conferencing and email.
On successful completion of the 8-week course, you will have designed a bespoke learning programme suitable for accreditation on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) with your HE partner of choice. The course consists of six learning units:
- Unit 1: Introduction to Micro-Credentials
- Unit 2: Micro-Credential Ideation
- Unit 3: Micro-Credential Design 1: Assessment
- Unit 4: Micro-Credential Design 2: Teaching & Learning Plan
- Unit 5: Considerations for "Building" your Micro-Credential
- Unit 6: Micro-Credential Launch, Deliver & Evaluate
Blended learning: 3 in-person workshops + online sessions
- 1 x 2-hour induction ONLINE;
- 3 x 1-day classroom lectures IN-PERSON; (Tuesday 9th and 30th of September and Tuesday 21st October)
- 5 x 1-hour Q&A clinics (optional) ONLINE
