Module Overview

Environmental Engineering

This module will provide the student with an appreciation of the environment and its vulnerability to human practices and development, and to acquire the necessary knowledge to analyse and design environmental engineering systems.

The module introduces the student to the basic theory of environmental engineering and the application of that theory to the environmental engineering designs. The module also introduces the student to the legislative framework that protects the environment at both the national and European level.
