Module Overview

Surveying and Levelling 1

This module is designed to introduce the student to the fundamentals of land surveying technology. The module will provide surveying and levelling information, together with practical experience that will enable the student to carry out simple survey tasks on site. This will include the establishment of control points and the use of level instrumentation for height determination. This module aims to provide the student with a thorough understanding of the basic theory and the field and computational techniques used in land surveying.
