If you are under 23 years old on 1 January you must have achieved Grade D3 in five Leaving Certificate subjects, including Mathematics and English or Irish or a FETAC Level 5 qualification or equivalent unless otherwise stated. That is 5 subjects: O6/H7, English or Irish: O6/H7 and Mathematics: O6/H7, or better to apply for year one of this programme.
Mature students (Over 23 years on 1 January 2020) are eligible. Eligible candidates may be interviewed. All applicants must have competence on spoken and written English.
The programme will offer those who have an interest in working in the Bio-pharmaceutical industry a knowledge of the fundamentals of the appropriate sciences, the technology and its applications and an understanding of the Good Manufacturing Practice environment.
The programme will give an opportunity to acquire a foundation in the sciences relevant to industry and to develop a broad perspective in the issues which pertain to a bio-pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
