Applicants for this programme should have a minimum IELTS (Academic Version) English Proficiency of 6 overall (or equivalent) with nothing less than 5.5 in each component.

Leaving Certificate or equivalent with Ordinary Level maths. In addition applicants will be currently employed or have gained substantial experience (at least 1 year) in the hospitality industry. Mature students (over 23) who do not meet the minimum educational requirements may apply and can gain entry to the programme based on their relevant industry experience. This can be assessed through interview.

This is a two year day release programme in Hospitality Management Studies which provides opportunities for individuals who wish to pursue a career in management in the hospitality industry.

It is aimed at complementing the practical experience gained by individuals working in the industry, with an academic focus in college.

The programme leads to a TU Dublin Level 6 Higher certificate award with graduates also obtaining membership of the IHI.

Graduates can also apply to gain entry into the final year of the BA in Hospitality Management (TU150).

This programme provides graduates with the necessary education and skills to effectively manage and supervise diverse hospitality operations. Graduates have the opportunity to gain employment in many hospitality operations such as Hotels, Restaurants, Bars, Cruise ships, Corporate catering and industrial catering operations

Year 1 Hospitality in the Business Environment, Management 1, Digital Fundamentals, Applied Communications 1, Marketing for Hospitality and Tourism, Front office/ Rooms division management, Financial accounting, Communications and Customer Services Management, Industry Operations- Professional Development.

Year 2 Economics, Cost Accounting and Decision Making, Hospitality Business Systems and Tools, Management 2, Human Resource Management, The Management of Food Safety for Hospitality, Food and beverage Management, Applied Business Planning for Hospitality, Industry operations – Business Analysis.

Graduates may continue their education either part-time or full-time through applying to gain entry into the final year of the BA in Hospitality Management (TU150).
