Nearly every business depends on IT nowadays for survival. How is your online bank account kept safe? How long would an airline last if its booking system crashed regularly? Why did Amazon and eBay thrive? What impact is social media having on business?

From updating your status, sending texts and sharing photos and music to banking or health systems, business or industry, all these organisations and activities need IT professionals to manage, plan and secure their systems.

In this programme, you’ll learn about information systems, networking, web and interactive media development, and business and service management knowledge. This combination of technical knowledge with business and management skills is highly sought after in the marketplace.

IT professionals often work as part of a team, make presentations and are called on to give advice on new and emerging technologies. The group working and presentation elements of the programme as well as the work placement will prepare you well for such work.

The shortage of graduates with IT skills is predicted to continue for the foreseeable future.
