Course Description

This course introduces the student to fundamental principles of retail management and marketing and is ideal for securing junior trainee management positions in the retail sector. It give the student an understanding of business fundamentals of finance, technology, management, marketing & economics as well as specialist fundamentals in Geographical Information Systems, Internet technologies for retailing, store atmospherics, retail analytics and the workings of the ‘new digital economy’.

Study Abroad Opportunities:

Students who transfer to the BSc in Retail & Services Management after completion of the higher certificate have the opportunity to study in either a European or North American University.

This course is an ideal introduction to the management and marketing of retail enterprises. It provides a foundation for entry to the job market as a trainee manager in a retail company or as a marketing trainee in any company, particularly those where knowledge of retail operations is beneficial.

Retail Management and Marketing is an excellent course. For anyone considering a career in the retail sector, it is a brilliant starting point.
