2nd Entrepreneurship Education: Share & Learn Symposium

When:  Wednesday 01 November 2023

Where: TU Dublin Aungier Street

The European Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship and the GROWTHhub project at TU Dublin and South East Technological University are delighted to present an opportunity for entrepreneurship educators in Ireland to gather and share their entrepreneurship education innovations and pedagogical practices, and takes place at the TU Dublin Aungier Street Campus on Wednesday 01 November 2023. The event builds on the success of the inaugural symposium in 2022 which included 20 presentations from entrepreneurship educators across Ireland.

The objective of the Share and Learn Symposium is to expose participants to new practices, and provide opportunities for feedback and discussion. Suitable topics include, but are not limited to the following:

  • development and delivery of student-centred enterprise and entrepreneurship courses

  • pedagogical practice in entrepreneurship education

  • extra-curricular initiatives supporting entrepreneurship education

  • facilitation of experiential entrepreneurship learning

  • integration of professional education and entrepreneurship education

  • innovation in social entrepreneurship, sustainability and green entrepreneurship education

  • case studies of entrepreneurship education initiatives

It is intended that presentations will share knowledge and expertise, and foster the practical, professional and intellectual skills of participants. It is important to note that the purpose is not to present research findings per se, but inspire enhanced entrepreneurship education by sharing and adoption of innovative pedagogical practices. It is also intended that the workshops will promote networking among entrepreneurship educators with a view to future collaboration in the development and sharing of entrepreneurship education practices.

On the day, an Entrepreneurship Education Innovation Award will be nominated by those attending.

Keynote Speaker: Professor Marco van Gelderen, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam

Marco is a psychologist specialising in enterprising behaviour and winner of the European Entrepreneurship Education Award (EEEA) in 2023.
