Dr. Sarah Rock is a transport and urban design specialist with over 18 years broad ranging international and cross-sectoral experience encompassing urban design, urban planning, transport planning, heritage conservation, research and education. Sarah lectures in the School of Transport Engineering, Environment and Planning at TU Dublin; is Chair of the MSc in Urban Regeneration and advises the public and private sector on sustainable urban development. Prior positions include Principal Transport Planner in Jacobs Engineering and the National Transport Authority; Specialist Urban Designer in PlaceMakers, the New South Wales Department of Planning and MCORM Architects.

Sarah is passionate about sustainable and innovative solutions to urbanisation, and transport and land use integration. Her research and practice expertise areas include transport equity, accessibility planning, urban street and network design, and masterplanning. Sarah holds a Doctorate in Transport Planning from the School of Civil Engineering at University College Dublin in addition to a Masters in Urban Development and Design; a Professional Certificate in Urban Engineering, Design and Management of the Public Realm; and a Certificate in Accessibility Auditing.
