A-STEP 2030 – Attracting Diverse Talent to the Engineering Professions of 2030
TU Dublin, as project partners on the A-STEP 2030 project was pleased to present initial findings from the research study at the recent Engineers Ireland conference: Engineering Education: future skills, standards and mobility.
The event hosted at Engineers Ireland provided an opportunity or Engineering Education Researchers around the country to disseminate their findings to a captive audience interested in preparing our engineering students with the skills necessary to meet the needs of the future.
Pictured above Una Beagon presenting findings from the A-STEP 2030 project which aims to address the lack of diversity in engineering programmes in Europe. There are three activities, which include focus groups with students, academics and employers in four European countries, work around the values and motivations of young people and adult learners and culminating the in the rollout of a learning and teaching activity which will be hosted in TU Dublin in 2021.
The team which won the Erasmus+ funding in 2018 comprises academic members from ENSTA Bretagne, TU Dublin, Aalborg University, Metropolia University and Universum, SEFI and the student engineering representative group BEST.
