In the final stage of the degree programme each student is required to undertake a research project in medical Science. The research project will involve a significant laboratory-based research study in one of the medical science areas [Molecular Diagnostics, Cellular Pathology, Clinical Chemistry, Haematology, Clinical Immunology, Medical Microbiology, and Transfusion Science]. The project module aims to equip students with important research skills, including project management, problem solving and data analysis and allows further development of critical evaluation and scientific communication.
