The aim of the project is to provide a student with the opportunity to bring the knowledge and laboratory skills they have gained on the programme to focus on a real scientific problem with a view to progressing the state of knowledge or finding a solution to the problem. The research projects’ subject areas are varied but all are of current, direct relevance to biomolecular science research and bioindustry.
Project design
Discussion of project design with supervisor(s), carrying out literature review
Conduct research
preparation of research materials, conducting experiments, familiarisation and competence in relevant laboratory techniques, data collection, data analysis
Dissemination
Drafting and completion of report, preparation and delivery of oral presentation.
This research project and the module will be completed via authentic research activity, either in the field (Industry, Research Institute or abroad in an Erasmus partner Institute) external to the TU Dublin, or internally in the School of Biological, Health and Sport Sciences, TU Dublin.
