To introduce the student to general concepts and principles of Irish law, develop in the student a discipline of thought through a clear understanding of the logical processes involved in legal reasoning and to provide the student with the necessary basic research skills to facilitate independent study.

Tort Law

Learning and teaching will take place via case study lead lectures and activity based workshops/tutorials. The module content will be introduced in the lectures with students given opportunities to apply this content through workshop/tutorial tasks. Student learning will be supported through the use of case studies, supplemental readings and current cases disseminated through the Virtual Learning Environment.
