Module Aims:• To explain to the learner the main thematic elements that characterise Irish culture and society from the time of independence to the present day.• To enable the learner to draw on supporting data and statistics, primary and secondary sources to contrast the nature of society and culture in Ireland today with that prevailing in previous decades.• To have the learner reflect on and discuss the changing nature of contemporary Irish society.
