This module is designed for students who have studied the language to Leaving Certificate or equivalent. It aims to further develop the four language skills acquired at second level, to introduce additional elements of the language of business and to broaden learners’ knowledge of Spain and the Spanish-speaking countries.
The development of Listening and Speaking skills
Understanding and using phrases and sentences related to a range of personal and professional situations.
The development of Reading and Writing skills
Reading and finding information in texts dealing with everyday material such as hotel literature, advertisements, prospectuses, menus, timetables and short, personal letters. Writing simple interconnected text on everyday aspects of the student’s environment. Writing an email to confirm a booking.
