Modern Irish Economic & Business History

To give the student an overview of modern Irish economic history. To allow students develop a broad knowledge of the development of key industries. To introduce the student to government macroeconomic and industrial policy and the impact of external institutions on government policy.To investigate the role of state organisations and institutions in economic policy and activity in Ireland.To allow students to gain an insight into the experience of industries operating in Ireland.To gain an appreciation of the impact of the macroeconomic environment and government strategy on business practice.
