The purpose of this module is to give students experience in creating typical AutoCAD drawings encountered in industry. The student is tasked with preparing plan and section drawings that include prefabricated portions, steel and concrete as well as the connections between them. The student must also prepare reinforcement detailing drawings and steel detailing and fabrication drawings.
Exercise 1: Produce AutoCAD general arrangement detail drawings of plans and sections containing prefabricated portions, steel and concrete as well as the connection details
Exercise 2: Reinforced concrete detail drawings in AutoCAD using rules for RC detailing.
Exercise 3: Structural steel detail and fabrication drawings using Universal Beam to Eurocode detail tables.
