BIM in Civil and Structural Engineering 1

This is an introductory module in Building Information Modelling (BIM) and the principles and standards involved in digital construction. The module introduces the student to BIM using industry standard authoring software in order to develop students’ skills in modelling of 3D building elements and producing 2D engineering drawings from the 3D model. The module also introduces the student to the workflows, principles and standards involved in digital construction.
