The communications module 1 investigates the concepts and processes surrounding the importance of effective communication techniques within the automotive sector. It introduces the learner to the role of communications in efficient and effective customer services within the automotive industry. It encourages a critical approach to the search, retrieval and storage of information as well as the importance of formal structures in the presentation of data.

The communications module 1 investigates the concepts and processes surrounding the importance of effective communication techniques within the automotive sector. It introduces the learner to the role of communications in efficient and effective customer services within the automotive industry. It encourages a critical approach to the search, retrieval and storage of information as well as the importance of formal structures in the presentation of data.       

The aim of this module is to increase the students’ critical awareness of the communications process.

The module is designed to enhance the analytical skills needed to implement an effective communications system. This module will set out to analyse the various theories surrounding the communications process and to understand the challenges involved in their implementation. The module will enable learners to explore the theories and practice involved in the negotiation, planning and delivery of information within the automotive sector

Module will be delivered over one Semester.

This module will be delivered by way of lectures. Case studies will form an important part of the learning environment as will visual aids such as DVD’s.  The module will involve group work for one of the case studies.
