Communications 2

Module Description: This module is structured to equip students with the necessary critical skills in the organisation of information flow within an automotive setting. The module also includes an analysis of the interview method as used in recruitment for employment vacancies and investigates the preparation needed for employment interviews. This module will analyse ways in which automotive companies can use the various communication channels to promote themselves.   Techniques for effective presentation of business material will be critically examined Communications breakdown leading to business errors will be examined and analysed. The role of effective communications and human factors in accident prevention and safety will be explored.  

Module aim: The aim of this module is to provide the learner with the knowledge to successfully manage information flow within an automotive company. An analysis of methods used in communicating information will be provided. The role of formal business meetings along with other formal and informal methods of communication will be measured and analysed. The learner will be introduced to different forms of formal employment interviews and these will be outlined and examined. The module will also aim to examine the role of communications and human factors in the promotion of safety and safety practices within the Automotive Industry.
