This module, by introducing various advanced network technologies, consolidates existing knowledge and gives the student the opportunity to explore advanced networking topics in greater depth. Some of these topics such as Advanced VPN configurations and Remote Network connectivity build on topics introduced in the Network Security module in Semester 1. Other topics such as IP Telephony, MPLS and Cloud Computing reflect the importance of emerging technologies in the design and implementation of modern enterprise networks.
