This module introduces the student to the early years work environment in a supported and incremental way. Attending placement one day per week during semester 2 of year one provides students with the opportunity to observe some of theory covered in their academic modules in semester 1 while engaging with the material presented in academic modules in semester 2. Students will have the opportunity to develop their skills of engagement with young children.
Placement
This module follows preparation during Professional development in the early years in semester 1. Students will be assigned a university supervisor alongside their placement mentor. Placement will consist of one day per week on placement + one tutorial on campus to support students learning.
