The aim of this module is to introduce students to research methods utilised in the area of early childhood education and care, with a particular focus on child-centred research methodologies. Students will develop proficiencies in the early years' research through the acquisition of knowledge and skills required to manage and carry out a research project from beginning to end. An analysis of ethical issues pertaining to research will ensure that students understand the role of values and ethics when conducting research in the early years' sector.
