Module Overview

Electrotechnology

This module provides an introduction to concepts that are fundamental to electrical and electronic engineering.

The aims of the module are to assist the learner to:

  • develop knowledge and skills in identifying and selecting a range of electrical and electronic components;
  • wire and test basic electrical and electronic circuits; and
  • identify, formulate and solve d.c. and a.c. electrical circuit problems.
