Introduction to European Union and Global Business

The development of the EU, overview of all member states and Europe's competitiveness.

The Institutions of European Union

The European Council, the Council of Ministers, the European Commission, the European Parliament, the Court of Auditors, the Court of Justice and the European Central Bank.

The Global Environment and Market Integration

European Business and the Single Market, gaps in the SEM; core features of EU competition policy, reform of competition policy, the global dimension of EU competition policy and Europe and the consumer.

European Union Strategy

Europe 2020 and subsequent plans. Smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. EU funding. Policy fields: Transport,energy, environment and other relevant issues.

Europe and Global challenges

European business in the wider world from a trade and investment perspective - Brexit, trading alliances with the BRIC countries and the ACP states.
