Critical Play

In this module students will develop an enriched understanding of the deeper context, meanings and importance of games. 

Students will learn about the meaning of games, how they are constructed and how they can be meaningfully critiqued. Students will combine game design theory with critical analysis to trace the growth of games in modern times and consider ethical and commercial issues with modern game development.
