Globalisation
Define Globalisation and how it affects markets and production. Detail the forces that are driving globalisation. Examine the debate over Globalisation's impact on jobs and wages. Discuss the debate over income inequality. Outline the debate over culture, sovereignty and the environment. Review of the global business environment and its main elements.
Cross Cultural Business
Define Culture and the need for cultural knowledge and literacy in the international business area. Examine the cultural importance of values and behaviour. Outline and discuss the affect of culture, religion, social structure and education on business. Explain the importance of personal communication to international business.
Political Economy and Ethics
Describe the key features of each political system. Explain how the three types of economic systems differ. Summarise the main elements of each legal system. Outline the global legal issues facing international trade. Describe the main issues of global ethics and social responsibility.
Emerging Markets
Review the economic development of nations. Identify emerging markets from a global perspective. Review the impact of globalisation on these markets and nation states. Apply evaluative skills to anticipate future changes in culture, economy and education.
