Module Overview

Work Based Learning & Project

The aim of this module is to give students a deeper understanding of the industry in which they are placed. As part of the placement students will undertake a significant work based project as the module deliverable. The project provides learners with an opportunity to undertake a substantial, individual project and take responsibility for a full project life cycle. This module will enable learners to consolidate and further their chosen area of study, and integrate knowledge and skills acquired from other modules that are part of this course. A project report will form a major component of the assessment of this module. Therefore, learners will be required to further develop written and oral communication skills alongside practical design and implementation skills. In conjunction with enabling the learners intellectual development, this module also aims to motivate the learners to develop their independence, confidence and self-esteem.
