Organisations, Business Processes, Information Systems and Enterprise Systems.

The modern global business environment; The Importance of Information Systems; Flows (physical, data, document, information) in Business Processes; The role of Enterprise Systems in Organisations; The financial impacts of process steps; Enterprise Systems and the types of data in them.Import data into a spreadsheet. Use a spreadsheet to manipulate data to create meaningful business process information.

Information Management

Identify correct inputs - controls & validation, information retrieval, presentation of findings using reports for appropriate levels of management, Use a database query language to select and extract data from a database.

The procurement and production processes

Key concepts and assumptions; Basic procurement and production processes; Physical Flows, document and data flows, Information flows. The role of Enterprise Systems in these processes.

Business Process Management (BPM) and Change Management

Business Process Improvement; Business Process Reengineering; Business Process Design; Business Process Modelling; Defining and creating data requirements for operational BPM. Consideration of steps involved in managing Process/System Changes
