The module aims to provide the students with: a knowledge of analytical measurement systems, theory of chromatographic methods, HPLC and GC techniques; the ability to carry out simple quantitative and qualitative analysis; the ability to apply chromatographic techniques to analytical laboratory environments; knowledge of forensic sample collection procedures including forensic photography and basic characteristics of forensic samples with a focus on arson and explosives.
