Spanish for Business 3a

The module is designed for students who have a foundation in business language and focusses on the skills needed for participation in a trade fair. It also aims to develop general language proficiency and to deepen students’ understanding of aspects of contemporary life in the Spanish-speaking countries.

The development of Listening and Speaking skills

Developing the skills to deal with the main situations likely to arise at a trade fair in Spain, from visiting a stand to greeting clients and dealing with queries about products and services. Following the main points of a TV programme and film, narrating the plot and giving opinions.

The development of Reading and Writing skills

Understanding and preparing documentation for participation in a trade fair. Understanding and identifying the main points in a text.Learning the conventions of essay and summary writing and how to paraphrase information in own words. Reporting and giving own opinion on factual information.
