Teams:
- Stages of team development, types of work teams, team players and characteristics of high performing work teams. Role of teams in continuous process improvemnt programs.
Six Sigma:
- Histroy: TQM, Better quicker, faster
- Six sigma: Define, Measure, Analye, Improve, Control: 5 Whys:
- Managemnt of waste, JIT, Kanban
Social & Business:
- Final accounts including depreciation, prepayments and accruals
- Marketing, 4Ps Price, Product, Place, Promotion & Marketing Communication
- Strategic Management: anlaysing the environment, competitive strategy, organisational implications of different strategies, analysing the organisation, managing strategic change.
Instruction is by means of lectures and coursework assignments.The assignments are designed to closely follow the lecture material and to assit in developing the student’s confidence and understanding.
Module delivery is 2 hours per week over Semester 1 & 2.
