This module covers further aspects of differential and integral calculus. In differential calculus: MacLaurin expansion and differentiation of functions of 2 variables. In integral calculus: further techniques for evaluating integral and computation of areas, volumes and moments of inertia of irregularly shaped objects.

- Differential Calculus: further techniques of differentiation, MacLaurin series, Partial differentiation and applications.
- Integral Calculus: integration techniques using partial fractions, rational functions, reduction formulae, trigonometric identities, and by parts. Applications including computation of areas, volumes, and moments of inertia of irregularly shaped bodies. Parallel-axis theorem.
Instruction will consist of lectures and supporting tutorials each week. The emphasis of course delivery will be ‘hands-on’ problem solving.
