Financial Mathematics
Simple and Compound Interest. Present Value. Nominal and effective rates of interest. Annuities. Net Present Value.
Working with Data
Classification, tabulation and graphical representation of data. Continuous and discrete data. Sample and Population. Statistic and Parameter. Measures of location (mean, median, mode). Measures of dispersion (range, standard deviation).
Correlation and Regression
Scatter diagrams. Positive and negative correlation of two sets of data. Coefficient of correlation. Linear Regression. Interpolation and extrapolation.
Index Numbers
Construction and use of Index numbers. Laspeyres and Paasche indices. Change od base. Deflation of data.
Probability and Probability Distributions
Calculating probabilities of compound events. Discrete Random Variables. Binomial and Poisson probability distributions.
