This module will offer a practical introduction to television production in a multi-cam studio environment. It will focus on technical proficiency as well as creative content. Students will create programmes that are meaningful and relevant to a modern audience. They will produce work in a wide variety of genres focusing on popular TV formats.
Students Studio based practical teaching in a range of specific roles including:
Camera Operation, Sound Operation, Floor Managing, Light Directing & Designing, Vision Mixing, Graphic design elements, Studio Etiquette, Multi-Cam Directing, Producing, Assisting, Auto Que Operating.
Indicative Syllabus
Practical workshops. Lectures and practical demonstrations relating to facets of television production.demonstrations.
This module will be delivered primarily through intense practical workshops. This will be completed by lectures and practical demonstrations. Self-directed learning is encouraged through the use of the studio for shoots and recommended readings/ recommendations.
