Audio Production

The module aims to introduce students to the environment & practices of recording & editing digital audio. Through the use of location sound equipment, sound recording studios and audio production software, this module also aims to equip students with the skills to create audio content for a range of media.

In this module, students will have the opportunity to work with effects/video editing software for the creation of animations suitable for use with digital video. This work typically concerns the creation of opening and end credits for films as well as the creation of logos and other graphical elements. Students can work from the planning stages, through to the creation of original graphical and text elements, through to the compilation of these elements to produce a completed animated sequence for video clips.To this end, students will be introduced to the thematic unity that is required in the creation of animations for video. They will also work with the various professional standards, file management strategies and file formats that are used at industry level.
