The aim of this module is to enable students to complete the pre-production work for the creation of an innovative project for their degree show in semester 8. In addition, students will learn the principles of 3D animation and software.
3D Tutorials
In class tutorials in 3d modelling, animation, materials, lighting, camera set-up and rendering.
3D Assignment
Production of a 3D movie, showing the core 3D elements learned in the tutorials. The development cycle of 3D production from conception to delivery. The integration of 3D animation within the broader media environment.
Concept Development for Interactive Project
Reviewing innovative work in the field across emerging platforms, assessing design challenges, developing techniques for generating ideas for degree project. Narrative development, pitching skills.
Media Production
DSLR Filmmaking
